Falstaffs Experience is one of the UK's current 'hotspots' of paranormal activity. Shrieves House, part of the 'experience', dates back to the 16th
century however there has been a dwelling on this land since the 12th century. The area has been through some tough times surviving the Plague,
Civil War and two fires. There are hidden priest holes, recent hauntings and secret chambers to be found. The 'Haunted Chamber' is a location where many
sightings and unexplained phenomena has been witnessed. During the Reformation, pilgrims were sent to the chamber to await their fate. Some of these
unfortunate souls are said to still inhabit the walls and are often seen. From within the 'Witches Glade' the unmerciful eyes of Matthew Hopkins
"Witchfinder General" are still said to patrol in search of those practising the dark arts. He is said to still carry out his infamous justice to those who
were found to be guilty, captured by his regulators and taken to the local 'Ducking Stool'.
