The Sloop
WOOTON, ISLE OF WIGHT

A ghost at the Sloop Inn likes to hit the jackpot on the pub's fruit machines. At the dead of night, long after the customers and staff have left, the unmistakable sound of coins being paid out is heard, at 2am, when the bar is locked and the electricity turned off. The ghostly green figure of an elderly lady haunts the bar, office and cellar area, where her tiny cottage once was. Elsewhere in the pub, locked doors open by themselves, and next door to the Sloop, where a tide mill stood until a few years ago, the tall figure of a phantom miller has been seen.
