Beverley Friary
BEVERLEY, HUMBERSIDE

Over 1300 years of history bestow the market town of Beverley. Within the town are reminders of Beverley's heritage from the 13th century Beverley Minister to the Mediaeval St. Mary's Church. In 1377 the town was taxed as being the 11th largest in the country. The Dominican Friary was built in the 13th century and the current custodians have reported numerous instances of unexplained activity. A Dominican Friar has appeared in the kitchen doorway, kindly before disappearing while another has been seen wandering around the dining room. Both apparitions were witnessed by more than one person. Footsteps are often heard without explanation, and on one occasion three workmates are said to have witnessed a ghostly figure in white walking along the top floor of the building.
