Taunton Castle

Taunton Castle is around 800 years old. A museum opened here in 1778, while the victorians also used the site as a private school and public baths and a monestry was held there seven centuries earlier. Bloody executions of over one hundred local men was held at the Castle, their crimes was siding against King James the second, which raged into battles around Taunton in the 17th century. Step in the hanging judge George Jeffries a cold and calculated killer who may haunt the Castle - his ghost has been seen walking the empty corridors along with the grey lady, while marching footseps are also heard. Poltergeist activity has also been known around the Castle, while huge temperature changes, feelings of being watched, and objects dissapearing and reappearing have also een reported. A cavalier and a young woman have also been seen.
