Ancient High House
STAFFORD, STAFFORDSHIRE

The Ancient High House located in Stafford has been around since about 1595, and was home to several shops as well as a girls school. A little girl has been seen in the victorian room but when she is approached she just disappears, while a little old lady is also seen in the room rocking on the rocking chair. A figure of a man has been seen walking the stairs on a regular basis, and is believed tp be someone who worked here but died years earlier. A group of American tourists was once shown around the derelict house in the 1960's by a friendly man who was standing outside at the time. He was described as wearing a bowler hat and an apron, but when they returned the next day to take pictures they found the building locked up and derelict. Later they were shown a picture of a man called William Marson who was born there in 1840 and had previously died there. People have also experienced being touched and pushed in the corridor that used to lead to the Swan hotel, where the ghost of a lady has been also been seen floating above the floor and disappear through the wall.
