The Station Hotel
DUDLEY, WEST MIDLANDS

The Station Hotel is based in the heart of the West Midlands town of Dudley. Originally built in 1910, the building was demolished in 1936 in order to build a larger Hotel. Once situated directly opposite the Hippodrome Theatre, the hotel attracted many famous guests over the years including Laurel and Hardy, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and George Formby. Over the years the building has struck panic into guests, having them running from their rooms in fear. The cellars are allegedly haunted by the spirit of a murdered chambermaid, who it is said met an untimely death at the hands of the landlord, who was later hanged for the murder. There have been many reported paranomal sightings, most frequently that of an unfortunate woman seen wandering along the halls and in some of the bedrooms, namely 214 and 217. Beer Barrels have been known to move on their own in the cellar, while knives have been mysterisouly thrown by unseen hands in the restaurant.
