Brief Episode Synopsis

NIGHT 1 of the investigation took the team to Lupton Hall. Beginning downstairs the crew experienced knocking and banging sounds, while after moving upstairs it appeared as if the same sounds continued downstairs. Moving to the cellars a trigger object experiment using 5 old pennies apparently showed that all 5 had shifted, equidistantly, towards the centre of the paper. This discounted any possibility that the table had been knocked as they had all moved in different directions. It was revealed that after the broadcast had finished Stuart was hit across the head with a flying object while in the cellars, suggesting that it may have been one of the coins.
NIGHT 2 began at The Globe Inn where Derek connected with a French Sailor who he felt had been murdered there. The team then attempted a séance with a Planchette which interestingly appeared to scribe a symbol resembling a French sailing knot. During this experiment a number of loud taps could be heard on the table with no apparent explanation. Moving to The Brixham Heritage Museum Yvette and the crew attempted glass divination while Karl and David Wells remained in an old police cell. The glass appeared to reveal an angry man who did not welcome their presence, as it moved violently around the table. Derek then appeared to become possessed by this aggravated spirit, screaming abuse and lurching towards Yvette. Meanwhile David also underwent possession in the cell, at one point lurching towards Karl. He later revealed that he had connected with the vulnerable side of an entity who had felt threatened by Karl's movement towards him.
NIGHT 3 concluded the investigation at the magnificent Berry Pomeroy Castle. The first vigil began with great anticipation as Yvette revealed her feeling of dread and discomfort when entering the castle. It became apparent that she had become highly agitated as she shook uncontrollably while sitting for the first glass divination experiment. At this point the energy seemed to converge on the team as the glass moved violently while Derek underwent another intense possession by a man named Thomas who had been murdered along with his wife by a man named Henry. By this time Yvette became violently unwell, which culminated in a gripping episode where she appeared to collapse on the floor, having to be dragged from the room and resuscitated outside. This proved to be a omen for the night ahead, as the team ventured onwards to the dungeons. Ciaren set up an experiment with a portable TV emitting white noise and a bright white light, as the team encouraged spirit energies to turn off the signal. Remarkably the monitor went black throwing the dungeon into darkness, although this may well be attributed to the television going onto automatic standby after a period of 15 minutes. Shortly after this Stuart appeared to become violently possessed, having to be dragged kicking and screaming from the dungeon. The night thereafter became relatively calm as the team reflected on some remarkable and frightening experiences.
