Location Background

Once known as the “British Hollywood”, Elstree has for decades provided a glamorous back-drop for many blockbusting films and acclaimed TV productions. But behind the scenes, stars were said to exchange stories of terrifying experiences, mysterious sightings and bizarre phenomena. The whole area - with its bustling town centre, remote Roman routes and ancient inns - is said to be rife with paranormal activity. Upon one particular tree-lined route stands two historic inns with grisly accounts of tragedy, disease and murder and also to a derelict and abandoned film lot with a menacing atmosphere.

Brief Episode Synopsis

NIGHT 1 of the investigation commenced with the team investigating the famous Elstree Studios. The night was predominantly quiet with the exception of the teams visit to the Enigma Room where contact was apparently made with the Rimmer Family, who were tormented and had died of the plague. They undertook a table tipping experiment in attempt to make contact, with a large candle in the centre of the table. This time the team placed their palms upwards as the table did appear to rock, with the candle eventually toppling over as a result of this movement. The night concluded with a glass divination experiment where they apparently connected with a seemingly agitated spirit who initally refused to communicate with the exception of saying 'Goodbye'. The glass then proceeded to spell the names of the crew sitting around the table before spelling out the letters F, U, C and K. Eventually the glass appeared to spin off the table, smashing on the floor.
NIGHT 2 saw the crew move the investigation in the surrounding town of Elstree. The crew initially visited The Manor House in Allum Lane where very little activity was experienced. Finally the crew descended upon the notorious Holly Bush pub where it is said that a beam once used as part of a Gallows is set within the main fireplace within the bar. Here the supposed activity was far more pronounced as both Jon Gilbert and Stuart suggested they had been affected by apparent shortness of breath and strangling sensations while standing in the same area of the room. Both were taken outside to recover, while Richard suggested that both showed red marks around their necks however these disappeared too quickly to be corroborated. The night concluded with Derek attempting automatic handwriting, where he drew a noose and wrote the words Blood and William. Following this he appeared to fall into a state of possession, collapsing to the floor again with breathing difficulties.
NIGHT 3 concluded the investigation back within the Studios. Initially while investigating one of the larger warehouse room an object was clearly either thrown or fell onto metal pipes laid accross the floor. The team did find a metal bolt nearby but were unable to confirm that it was the object, while they were unable to rule out whether somebody had actually thrown something. The team also attempted a ouija board this time while wearing blindfolds, however this resulted in little communication of any sense came through. The night conculded with Karl, John, and Stuart investigating an unusual Metal Room, where they experienced a number of odd audible phenomena, however the fact that this could have been from people on the outside of the room could not be discounted.
