Most Haunted investigate some of the most paranormally active locations in Portsmouth including Wymering Manor, a house which is reputedly the oldest in Portsmouth, Southsea Castle and the famous Royal Marines Museum.

Brief Episode Synopsis

NIGHT 1 Joined by guest medium Ian Shillito and paranormal investigator Steve Parsons the team investigated what is supposedly the oldest house in Portsmouth - Wymering Manor. David Wells connected with Monks and Nuns who disregarded their vows of celibacy together, while the initial activity included multiple instances of stones being thrown across the room. Activity continued to flow as the crew are met by an instant response when asking out loud for knocking, where clear audible knocks are heard coming from somewhere in the room. Karl and Cath are then left alone in the attic space during which time Cath suggests she had been poked while Karl believes some unseen force had punched in the back. On at least 4 separate occasions both Yvette and Cath are supposedly affected by what they describe as growling or heavy breathing however this is purely subjective and almost impossible to prove as no sounds are recorded by any of the equipment. One incident initially recorded off camera saw Ciaran in tears for no apparent reason. The night concluded in dramatic fashion with soundman John collapsing while Richard complained of feeling a grabbing sensation around his throat. Shortly after a chain holding an ancient cross which had been around his neck was discovered lying nearby on the floor.
NIGHT 2 Medium Ian Shillito was joined by Karl in a first for British television as both were buried alive outside Southsea Castle in an experiment to test the ability for Ian to channel psychic energies in a contained environment of sensory deprivation. Both men suggested experiencing knocking sounds coming from the side of the coffin, while Ian connected with a number of interesting historical facts. It was also suggested that the pair had been joined at one time by a female spirit. Activity inside the castle included an arm mysteriously falling off suit of armour, while David Wells connected with a cavalier who was supposedly leering at Yvette.
NIGHT 3 The 3-day event concluded with an investigation of the Royal Marines Museum, where initially David Wells made contact with the spirit of a Sailor called Billy Wells who could not be verified. Karl then appears to suffer from spiritual intervention suggesting that his mean and moody attitude were in part due to an unknown energy in the room. The scene ends with Karl slumped on the ground with no apparent explanation for his experience. A Ouija Board experiment was then attempted with highly inconclusive results. The night concluded with soundman John collapsing for the second time in 3 days either due to exhaustion, or some other more supernatural explanation.
