265 Years ago, a man destined for disaster made his way north to York on the run from a vengeful army, stopping along the way to confiscate the riches of those he deemed too privileged. Following his arrest in October 1738, Dick Turpin spent his final Christmas and New Year at York Castle prison before being put to death in April 1739. It was a tourist attraction then, and to this day visitors come to hail the legend of Dick. The Most Haunted team undertake a three-day extravaganza of paranormal investigations that start in London and make their way to York.

This 3 night extravaganza saw the Most Haunted crew travelling the length of the East coast, from Hampstead Heath to York in search for the ghost of Dick Turpin. The investigation intially saw the team venturing into the deep and darkest parts of Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest. While in the forest the crew experienced uncontrollable fear and paranoia as the woodland around them seemed to almost come alive. Strange noises were captured from the dark as if they were being circled by someone, or something. This highly-charged vigil culminated with the crew getting lost, requiring the Forest Ranger to take them to safety. The team also investigated The Spaniards Inn where they captured a number of light anomalies on camera, while it aslo appeared that a vase of flowers tipped over of its own accord. The investigation culminated with a visit to York, the supposed last resting place of Turpin, where the team visited his grave however no paranormal activity was experienced. They then moved onto the dungeons of York Castle where Turpin was apparently taken before his execution, where something appeared to hit Derek on the leg while a number of stones were apparently thrown at the crew. The extravaganza finished with a visit to the hanging tree where Derek seemed to become possessed by the dark spirit of Eugene.
