Brief Episode Synopsis

NIGHT 1 The most significant location on the opening night was the team’s visit to the Falstaff Experience Museum. The crew initially experienced strange losses of power as the lights were unexplainably drained over and over, forcing the team to conduct the investigation by torchlight. Derek connected with a dark entity who he felt had practised the black arts on the site, and then proceeds to undergo a state of possession where he appears to struggle for breath and eventually collapses complaining that his arm had been cut off by this malevolent spirit. Derek appears traumatised and struggles to compose himself for a while. The team also experience small objects being thrown at them while they wander around in the darkness, and Phil discovers a number of small stones on the wooden floor.
NIGHT 2 On Leap Year Day the team make their way to Hall’s Croft where Derek picks up on a number of spirits including a woman called Betty who he says walks the stairway. Entering one of the rooms on the upper floor Yvette suggests that she sees an “arc of light” out of the corner of her eye apparently moving across the top of the room. Derek then connects with two American ladies who he names as Betty and Josephine. He suggests that Betty has a tendency to shove people when they walk up the stairway. Moving on the team then encounter some truly unique activity when an object is clearly caught on camera arcing from behind the cameraman over Yvette’s right shoulder and clattering on the wooden floor. Yvette is clearly horrified and upon investigating it appears that a silver spoon was the offending object. The curator of the building then intervenes to indicate that this is a spoon from the exhibition which is always tied down to a table. The crew are clearly shaken by the whole episode, and all that remained was to discover whether this was truly poltergeist activity caught on live television.
